LANDO CALRISSIAN

Worn: CMC Hallowe'en Party 2002
Lando Calrissian, administrator of Cloud City, at least until the Empire moves in on him. He betrays Han Solo and the rest to Darth Vader in an attempt to protect his city. When Vader starts modifying the deal, Lando double-crosses him and helps Leia, Chewie and the droids escape and goes on to help save Han from Jabba. And by help I mean fall off the speeder and almost get eaten by the Sarlacc.

Despite being disillusioned with Billy Dee Williams after meeting him while I was at CN Anime 2002 back in August, I still wanted a Lando costume to go with Erica's Bespin City Princess Leia. Plus I needed a Hallowe'en costume that wouldn't freak out my co-workers. Wasn't too sure how some of the more religious staff members would react to the fanatical priest psychopath that is Alexander Anderson. So, Erica made the cape which turned out really well, and I my blue dress shirt and black dress pants to simulate the rest. Also drew a moustache on with liquid eyeliner. I look bad with a moustache.
Despite the amazingness of the getup, only three people recognized me. One guy said Dracula. Fools. Should have just went as Anderson, that way I wouldn't be disappointed by no one knowing who I am.
